Somerset Grand Hanoi was a good place to retreat into after a bustling day in the city as room was comfortable (pleasant surprise to get a 2-bedder though we booked a 1-bedder), clean and all equipment works in the room (washing machine cum dryer, induction cooker, fridge, aircon, oven, hairdryer, shower head water pressure and iron). To top it up, professional service from the entire team (door bell to front desk to housekeeping team).

This please feels actually better than a home faraway from home. We enjoyed the apartment, the kitchen and being able to do our laundry. But staying at the Somerset felt like staying in a mini resort in the middle of Hanoi. The 4th floor gives access to a large terrace, fitness facilities, the pool, a pool table and ping pong. It even has a small lounge where residents can take more important calls - on video conference calls while the rest of the family is enjoying the pool. A special thumbs up to the staff at the fitness and the pool. Johnny-Nam and the lady in the afternoon shift have both been most helpful, patient, and enthusiastic. It was a real pleasure to stay at the Somerset.

Somerset Grand Hanoi is the best place to stay at Hanoi. While we stay there, we are really impressed by the hotel team with the following members: Aimee, Rachel, Evie and Diep. The location Somerset is very close to all the famous attraction at the center of Hanoi. At Hanoi, there are lot of hotels/apartments are not the same like the pictures, so that the great staff member allowed us to see the apartment to make sure we like it before we move in, because we are kind of skeptical after we had the experience somewhere else that the description/ads are totally different than what we actually get. And this one is exactly the same or beyond what we expect. The nice staff allowed us to leave our luggage at the desk so that we can go out to enjoy the city. During our stay, whenever we have questions/ concerns, they addressed such very quickly. Mostly importantly and amazingly, we lost some stuff at the apartment, I called the hotel and they helped to arrange the mailing of my stuff to me at another city in Saigon. The communication thru whatsapp is with such an ease and pleasure.

Location was great - good area and about a 7-10min walk to the south end of the lake. It's a nice walk to the north end of the lake where all the shops / night markets / food / beer places are. The 3 bedroom apartment was really big, lots of room for our family of 5 (3 teenage boys). There is a washing machine in the kitchen which was helpful - it is a washer/dryer combo. Also in the kitchen is a large water dispenser instead of individual water bottles which we liked. Nice clean bathrooms. The hotel restaurant and room service was good when you just needed a rest and something to eat without venturing into the madness of the city. Good variety of food at breakfast. Convenience store on ground floor which was useful for us. Hoa Lo prison relic is next door and worth a visit.

We checked into the hotel on September 27. We were in Chania for only two days. The hotel is conveniently located, close to the center, just a 5-10 minute walk away, yet far from the noise. I would also like to point out that on the ground floor of the hotel, there is a store, a coffee shop, and a couple of cafés where you can always grab something for the evening or enjoy a morning coffee. The rooms were clean and tidy. Overall, everything was very good, from the service to the hospitality, and the staff was extremely friendly. Thank you to Somerset Grand Hanoi for the warm welcome.

Great apartment for a family. There was lots of space for the 4 of us. King size bed and ensuite in bedroom 1 and two single beds and separate bathroom in bedroom 2. Lounge and kitchen too. The staff were all very helpful and made you feel welcome. The apartment was well equipped, the washing machine and airer was most useful when traveling. The leisure facilities were excellent, swimming pool, sauna, steam room, table tennis and pool table. We were not leaving Hanoi until 10pm but were able to use the facilities, including members lounge and very clean changing room and shower after check out. The location was good and within a less than 10 minute walk we were in the old quarter.

We stayed in the hotel for 10 Nights in August. Although not technically in the old quarter the location was better than expected as the hotel was pretty much dead centre in all the activities we did. The front desk staff and doormen were very helpful each morning when we were collected by our different tour companies. The twin bedroom aprartment with seperate full kitchen and washing machine was incredibly usefull. Apartment serviced daily, the pool was always clean and welcoming and the hotel had its own convinience store with everything you could imagine and items were cheaper than shops on the road. I would definately stay in this hotel again if we are ever in Hanoi. We did not eat in the hotel so cant say anything about the food and drinks.

Somerset Grand Hanoi was just what we needed - spacious, clean and in a central location. It’s value for money accommodation and very comfortable. While the room decor is dated, the bathrooms and kitchens have recently been updated and everything is so clean and tidy it didn’t bother us at all. We found reception and concierge staff to be very helpful and friendly. The pool and Jaspas restaurant is also great when travelling with kids. We would definitely stay again!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Somerset Grand Hanoi, and I must say it exceeded my expectations. From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we were impressed by the clean and well-maintained facilities. The attention to detail was evident, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The spacious apartment provided ample room for my family, and the thoughtful amenities made our stay stress-free. The well-stocked mini mart on Level 1 was a lifesaver. Whether we needed snacks, drinks, or essentials, it was all right there. No need to venture far. I want to give a special mention to Nina, one of the staff members. Her warm hospitality and genuine care made our stay memorable.
